Biskit delivered a leadership and management programme as part of our UKSPF business support package for businesses in North Lincolnshire.

We are a global cable distributor and cable assembly manufacturer. We initially engaged with Ed at Biskit through the SC21 C&G programme to work on our sales and marketing strategies for the future. Addison Precision based over on the North West Coast have been engaged with Biskit as part of our SC21 C&G journey. Through the stewardship of Ed, Biskit gave guidance/mentorship and training in order for us to complete specific theme’s within the agreed work stream categorised through the SC21 C&G process.

The work stream’s included compiling the business Vision/Mission Strategy, which also included a 5 year sales & marketing strategy which encompassed in depth market research, market sector diversification whilst also defining our companies Vision/Mission statements & goals.

Biskit has been working with us over the last 8 months or so on our strategy and growth plans. They have given the management team a focus and helped us realise that we need to be working on the business instead of in it on a daily basis. They have helped us and the team on sales plans, marketing strategy and planning, team development and training, management time as well as just giving us general support and guidance to do things that will help us achieve the plans in our heads. They drive and challenge us all with the sole goal of wanting us to achieve our aims and ambitions. We worked with Biskit to develop our marketing strategy from scratch. As a business which had not done any specific marketing before it was vital that we were able to profile our customers and map out which market sectors needed to be marketed to in order to develop our business strategy. We held a number of workshops as a full management team to identify what we needed messages we needed to communicate and then we spent a number of weeks working with Biskit to hone these down to a cohesive marketing strategy.

Biskit then supported us with on site sessions to develop a communications plan for different media channels including socials, e-marketing and events. We developed this plan for each target market sector and set out a structured plan for implementation.

Thanks to Biskits’ support we have expanded our brand awareness within the market sectors we are working in and are looking to usilise even more targeted marketing tools over the coming months.

Without the support of Edward and the team at Biskit we would not have been able to make the level of progress we have over the past few months nor to achieve our marketing aims.

Having met Ed through a training course working with the then UKTI (DIT) just a little over 5 years ago, my company decided to bring him and the Biskit team on board to help Develop a strong Export Marketing plan and use Ed as one of our external Business Consultants.
