Overview
Sometimes a project comes along, seemingly out of nowhere, that gets the blood racing and the heart pounding.
Intergraf and their emerging leaders programme was one of these. Just how do you tackle the challenge of seismic industry changes within the European printing industry.
Do you start with changing customer demands, more effective marketing, innovation, strategy… or something else?
Designed to help current and future leaders, the emerging leader programme was an EU wide initiative, providing a toolkit for change.
With a background in Strategy, Sales and Marketing, Biskit were ideally placed to write a programme that would encourage leaders to think about how their companies could embrace change and develop a new future.
Working with representatives from Greece, Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Holland, France and Germany, Biskit delivered a mixture of day workshops, team exercises and case study topics in Lisbon, the UK and Brussels over the space of 2 years.
Let’s face it printing was a mature industry. It made billions for companies across the planet, transformed how we communicate, what we buy, and been a catalyst for the creation of new companies, the death of others, and even the odd revolution here and there.
But with this huge success came complacency. Complacency about emerging digital channels and how print might work with them, changing customer demands, the rise of new industries and even customer expectations.
Establishing the impetus for change in our workshops was therefore key. What channels were customers starting to use, which competitors were performing well, what does future technology look like?
But how can emerging leaders, who often understand the challenge of change more than senior leaders, become catalysts for change in their respective companies?
Understanding the strategy process, knowing how to gather research data, how to build advocates and influence within the business, were all incorporated into the programme.
With over 50 delegates at the Lisbon and UK events, Biskit was delighted with the feedback and results. Delegates felt as though they left with a clear action plan for change, including practical Key Account plans that they could apply to their existing clients, whilst opening up new market opportunities for the longer term.
