Creative Ideas for Social Enterprises

Marketing communication planning with Biskit and The Training Cave

Creativity comes in lots of different forms, and it’s always helped when the working location is creative too!

That’s why Edward Ryder was delighted to meet with Malcolm Hall, Trustee, and Jack Sunderland from Yorkshire based The Training Cave recently, to look at how the organisation can focus more effectively on its core customers, and build towards its vision.

Similar to the commercial sector, social enterprises and charities operate in highly competitive markets. Vision, knowing your customers, clear messaging and consistency are just as important, but can be equally different to identify.

Working from Left Bank in Leeds, a great venue and social enterprise, we had the perfect chance to look at:

  • which customers the organisation needed to target
  • prioritising markets that could offer growth in the short to medium term
  • working with influencers, who could help us reach and engage our audience
  • identifying our core messages, and picking the most appropriate channels
  • putting our core messages into a clear marketing plan
  • setting a budget and KPIs, so we can track success

We’re really looking forward to seeing what steps The Training Cave takes next, and helping them along their journey.
